The Dallas real estate market is experiencing a notable surge in high-end condominiums, reflecting a growing demand for luxury urban living.

According to a recent study by Urban Land Institute Texas, the number of luxury condominiums sold in the first half of 2026 increased by 22% compared to the same period last year. This surge represents the highest rate of growth in the luxury segment since 2019.

Developers are responding to this trend, with over 1,500 new units projected to be delivered by the end of 2027. Everett Development Group, a prominent player in the Dallas market, has announced plans for a 30-story luxury condominium tower in the bustling Uptown area, slated for completion in early 2028.

“The demand for upscale urban living is stronger than ever,” said Linda Martinez, CEO of Everett Development Group. “As more professionals move to Dallas for its economic opportunities, they are looking for premium housing options that offer both convenience and luxury.”

The increase in luxury condo sales can be attributed to several factors, including an influx of tech workers and the continued expansion of corporate headquarters in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Major companies such as Amazon and Goldman Sachs have established significant operations in the region, further driving demand for housing.

Moreover, the average price for luxury condominiums has also seen a sharp increase, with the median price now hovering around $1.2 million, a rise of 15% from 2025. Analysts suggest that this trend is likely to continue as more affluent buyers seek residences to accommodate their high-paced lifestyles.

In addition to new developments, existing luxury condos have been performing well on the resale market. Major sales include a penthouse in the historic W Dallas – Victory that sold for $3.5 million, illustrating the upward trend in high-value transactions.

As the Dallas area continues to grow and evolve, it is becoming increasingly clear that the demand for luxury real estate will remain high. Industry experts are optimistic that even with potential economic fluctuations, the luxury segment will endure due to its appeal to high-net-worth individuals.
